Price Increase

Dear customer,

There is much to look forward to in the coming weeks and months – Spring is on the way and that means nicer weather and fresh new dishes on THE GORDON ARMS Restaurant with Rooms menu.

In the relatively short amount of time, we have been here we have met hundreds of wonderful customers and been rewarded with our first AA Rosette and a number of other awards for quality and sustainability.

We work hard all year round to offer you the very best hospitality, whether it’s a meal in our restaurant or a stay in one of our rooms (or both!). You can always be assured of a warm welcome and that you will be eating the very best locally-sourced ingredients prepared by our award-winning team.

You will appreciate that maintaining these high standards comes at a cost and, particularly in the current economic climate, costs are rising.

However, we have taken the decision to absorb as much of the increased costs we are facing, so that you can hopefully continue to enjoy a meal or stay with us.

We understand that price-rises affect everyone and so we are therefore restricting our own price increases to around just 10% from the 1st of May 2023. To put that into context, the cost of the fresh produce we use has gone up by 20 – 40% and energy as much as 900%.

Starting from the 1st of May 2023 our restaurant menu prices will be as follows: any one course £23, any two courses £32 and three courses £36; our room prices will be increased by 6% only during the high season.

It is really important to us to keep offering our valued customers the very best, and to support local suppliers, and we hope that you will be able to continue to visit us while we all weather the current economic storm.
